How to help after a natural disaster hits

With hurricanes in Florida, Texas and Puerto Rico, earthquakes shaking Mexico and fires blazing in California, it’s important to know how to help if a natural disaster strikes. Here are three major ways you can contribute to natural disaster aid, both nationally and locally.

These are a few of the many organizations that the National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster recommends donating money to. Chapman’s Black Student Union, the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and University Program Board donated to the Houston Food Bank after their “Hops 4 Houston” charity event Sept. 22.
